Barberella Completed

Image
I wasn't completely happy with how it looked, and felt it needed something extra. The PVC shoulders didn't stand out how I wanted them too, and it lacked something; So, I headed off to one of my favourite stores, Ultimate Craft in Camden to see what I could find to enhance it. I had already ordered some self adhesive stained glass lead tape to go around the tits, which I also used on the rest of the outfir. I found it to be quite  malleable and helped to shape the shoulders. I also managed to get some metal grill and some chains from Ultimate Craft which i cut into shape and added to the outfit with the lead tape. I'm much happier with it now.

Organza top

Image
Along with the silver trousers, Jim asked if I could recreate this top; It was to be made from black organza. Initially I thought it was a single layer of organza, but it's actually four layers sewn together. I set about making a pattern for the front and the back and then pinning this onto Jim to check that the fit is OK Once all the pieces were cut out, the edges were pressed in and then sewn, pressed again. The four pieces for the front were sewn together and the same for the back. They were then joined together at the shoulder, one side with velcro to make it easy to get on. One final press and then it was good to go.

Silver Trousers

Jim wanted these trousers made for the next Cybil's House I used Burda pattern 6544 as a base pattern, We decided not to put the pockets in and also add a separate waistband. This is the first time I used the overlocker to create something, and it's made life so much easier. The seems are strong and there's no need to trim the seam allowance. Such a worthwhile investment! I'll post pictures of the final piece after next weekend.

Barberella Tits

Image
It's time to test whether my technique of moulding tits works. Well I'm please to report that it did work as shown in the picture below where they have been attached to the bodice with rivets. I used the following mould made out of tin foil, placed a sheet of PVC on top of it, and watch it slowly melt as the temperature rose in the oven. I placed the prosthetic tit within the mould and then riveted the mould to the bodice and trimmed the excess PVC. It still needs a little work doing to it, but I'm happy with the result.   Oh, and I've also inserted a remote controlled colour changing LED within the tit so they glow!!

Corness fitting

Had a fitting with Mark (aka Cybil ) today, and the corness isn't looking too bad. A few adjustments, I need to add the rivets and then it's finally done!
